Unable to route traffic with 2.2.2 and Windows 8

Setup openvpn and installed openvpn client.  unable to route traffic over vpn connection in both scenariois in wich I specify specific subnets or route all traffic.  No ping at all and all devices allowed to ping.

Also strange that I need to open gui as administrator or else when connecting to openvpn running on 2.2.2 I get errors when client tries to create routes yet connection to 1.2.3 does not generate the same errors.

You need to complain to MS. (There's also this management interface/ OpenVPNManager export option to avoid this.)
