ExpressVPN connection Options Error: Option "dhcp-option" "route" "redirect gateway"
-
With the "Don't pull routes" option checked and the following custom options
tun-mtu 1500; fragment 1300; mssfix 1200; remote-random; verify-x509-name Server name-prefix; remote-cert-tls server; key-direction 1; route-method exe; route-delay 2; auth-nocache;
I am getting the following errors
Sep 20 13:43:34 openvpn 83998 Options error: option 'route' cannot be used in this context ([PUSH-OPTIONS]) Sep 20 13:43:34 openvpn 83998 Options error: option 'dhcp-option' cannot be used in this context ([PUSH-OPTIONS]) Sep 20 13:43:34 openvpn 83998 Options error: option 'redirect-gateway' cannot be used in this context ([PUSH-OPTIONS]) Sep 20 13:43:34 openvpn 83998 PUSH: Received control message: 'PUSH_REPLY,redirect-gateway def1,dhcp-option DNS 10.156.0.1,comp-lzo no,route 10.x.0.1,topology net30,ping 10,ping-restart 60,ifconfig 10.x.1.6 10.x.1.5,peer-id 60'
if i add "pull" to the options no differences are noticed.
I can add the below to remove the those errors, but have problems with the vpn then
pull-filter ignore "dhcp-option";
pull-filter ignore "redirect-gateway";but if i add the below, it of course kills the routing completely.
pull-filter ignore "route"; -
Will it connect with all the custom options removed?
If so add them one at a time, several of those are not needed at all..

@bcruze it connects, with or without the filter.
The question is whether it routes.
i think the only one i can get away with is the dhcp-option.
using the filter on either the redirect-gateway or route stops connectivity over the vpn. -
https://www.expressvpn.com/what-is-my-ip
Does that show you connected?

@bcruze shows me the access point of my vpn connection.
