[SOLVED]Getting kicked out from playing Overwatch
-
So first thinks first, I am a network-noob, who replaced his old home-router with pfSense. I am on pfBlockerNG-devel net 2.2.5_25
Lately I get kicked out from playing Overwatch from time to time, didn't know why. Blizzard now even wants to punish me for leaving matches to often to early...
So last time I quickly took a look at the Firewalllog and after googling the IPs there is one from Blizzard.I then looked at the pfblockerlog and found it again.
pfB_Europe looks like geoblock to me, which I had enabled because I am also running a server at home I want to protect. So if this blocking is the reason for getting kicked out... I thought geoblocking is only for incoming connections?
Or am I wrong? I really want to play this game.
TIA Bob

@Bob-Dig How your pfBlocker configured?
You can configure only Incoming or only Outgoing blocking
Or you can use "Alias Native" and put it anywhere in your firewall rules -
GeoIP is Deny Inbound, the rest at defaults.
-
Are you denying inbound on your LAN interfaces in pfBlocker.
Should be something like this:-
-
-
Hmmm post a screenshot of your firewall rules.
-
@NogBadTheBad Always get a message my post would be spam...
Now it works: Enough?
-
Anything on your LAN ?
Also you can get the rule number by holding the mouse over the red X.
-
-
Umm just noticed in the first screenshot it says default deny rule.
I don't think this is a pfBlocker issue.
Asymetric routing perhaps.
-
@NogBadTheBad Looked at the IDs and couldn't find one.
What is Asymetric routing? -
Packets flowing from a source to a destination in one path and takes a different path when it returns.

It's the default deny that's hidden.
-
@NogBadTheBad So I am reading this but as a noob i have no clue.
Any ideas what I can do about it?
I also wondered about default deny rule IPv4, have none, but you explained it.
Damn I am also on the wrong sub-forum. Does it belong to Home / pfSense Software / Firewallin ? -
If you disable pfBlocker does it still do it ?
Did it happen after the NordVPN configuration ?
Also why all the pfBlocker Geo blocks on the WAN interface traffic is denied by default?
-
Damn I can't post here, getting this messages about spam....

The disconnect are random so not easy to test.
Did it happen NordVPN configuration ?
No, has nothing to do with nord, that is used with a different Host.
Also why all the pfBlocker Geo blocks on the WAN interface traffic is denied by default?
It is the default behavior and works fine I think.

I bet everything is going out your NordVPN connection.
Does this print out your WAN IP address or a NordVPN address ?

@NogBadTheBad No, had it only enabled in Firefox, but after disabling it is still get this messages here. It is my regular ISP IP-address. I also use that for gaming, no VPN there.
I am not a total noob, just not a network professional.

No it's not you've enabled them here and there is no need to unless your blocking a country in the region, are you telling me you have blocked something in Antartica
I only use it to block China, etc ... from hitting my sftp server.

BTW you've not removed your IP from the bottom of the screenshot .
