Translating documentation

Any plan on translating the documentation like zanata for the pfSense gui where we can contribute?

yup, i have already completed the italian translation but it's only for the GUI not for the documentation

Oh I'm sorry, I misunderstood.
The online docs and pfSense book are quite long. Last time I checked, the book was 660 pages. That would be a huge translation project for sure, much more so than the GUI translation. Also, the docs are dynamic and updated regularly as changes happen, and the translations would need to be in sync with those changes. That might be too much to ask for unpaid volunteers.
But who knows? Maybe your idea will get some traction here.

well .. i don't pretend to translate it in one day but if we never start we never finish :)

A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.
I also just checked the latest book update, and it's from Oct 16 2019. It's longer than before:
"Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of pages in the Book
For it is a human number, its number is six hundred and sixty six" -
Thanks for contributing to the Italian translation! While we have been working towards putting the tooling in place that allows the docs to be translated, we'll probably hold off on translating them as it adds a bit of complexity and friction to documentation workflow that we still need to plan for.
