How to monitor ipsec of pfsense from librenms
-
HI all,
I want to monitor ipsec of pfsense from librenms. i already setup snmp in pfsense and now librenms can monitor all pfsense ports but not ipsec. Can any one give instruction?
I know there maybe something related to MIBs , but im not sure which mib to download (from http://files.pfsense.org/misc/mibs/ and https://files.pfsense.org/jimp/mibs/) and how to import it to pfsense, please help!John

There are no MIBs for IPsec right now. IPsec is handled via strongSwan and there isn't anything in the SNMP daemon that can pull information from strongSwan.
Using the NET-SNMP package on 2.4 you could script some extended commands to gather info from ipsec status commands, but it would be a lot of manual work to get anything meaningful from it.

Hi @jimp do you have any idea on this old topic, i also really eager also to do monitoring over IPsec tunnels through the Librenms.

There has been no change here. If you need to poll the info, use NET-SNMP and craft your own set of extend commands/scripts to report the information you need. If you need help with that, start a new thread and see if anyone can assist you there.
