      I am a noobie when it comes to SNMP.  I'm trying to configure NET-SNMP, and I  have it working on one machine, but I simply cannot make it work on any others.

      I'm running WinXP Pro.

      I installed it in the default directory of \usr.
      I put my MIB in the directory  \usr\share\snmp\mibs

      The name of the MIB is  "dawnVME-MIB.txt"

      Every time I try to run the command

      snmpget -v2c -c public -d 192.168.000.002 dawnVMETemperature.1

      (or any other snmpget), I get the error message

      dawnVMETemperature.1:  (Sub-id not found: (top) -> dawnVMETemperature)

      This works on one computer, but not any others.  What could I be doing wrong?

        Did you try a snmpget or snmpwalk with the OID ?

        Something like :
        snmpwalk -v2c -c public 192.168.0.2 .1.3.6.1.4.1.26573
