VPN-disconnects, wrong connection time
-
For a few weeks now we have been receiving multiple disconnections per hour (with unchanged settings). We have now noticed that an incorrect connection time for the VPN connections is displayed on the server side: a time in the future is displayed under "connected since". The time servers on both sides are set the same, the system time is accordingly the same on both sides.

VPN-connection time:
The log files each show inactivity timeouts:

Any clues?

I just found out that there is exactly one minute of server time difference between locations. As I said, the NTP servers are the same on both sides.

Summer / winter time ?
-
it's a minute difference, not an hour, but thanks anyway
-
What is the minimum time difference between the VPN locations before the connection is disconnected?
-
I just connected to my own 'pfSense OpenVPN server', I can't see this behaviour ...
Your last connection or reconnection time :
The actual time at that moment (is it ? ) :
Which is some 34 minutes earlier.

No, the times were as shown.
The current system time was 10:22 a.m., and at this time the VPN connection should have existed since 10:56 a.m. (which was in the future)

I solved the VPN-disconnects by putting some commands to the advanced config in Open-VPN:
on the server site:
keepalive 10 120
reneg-sec 43200on the client site:
keepalive 10 120
reneg-sec 0The time differences still exist, but that doesn't bother me at the moment.
