What does this mean , I do not have this ip#
-
It's been over 2 decades since I used GNATBOX and syslog, since then I've used regular ISP routers and just burried my head in the sand. my question is about the 192.168.100.10 ? at the bottom of what I posted . what is that all about ? my LAN is 192.168.1.1 and OPT lan that I use only for my wireless AP is 10.0.0.1 . so any thoughts about it ? one more I'm not using OpenVPN on the PFsense yet , but I see one line saying it's loading it ? I am using Openvpn on my Synology box, but that is over the 192.168.1.x ip it has.
I finally broke down and bought a nice appliance , but I keep seeing this in the ( Status System Logs System General ) I know I'm sharing my wan ip .

Do you have a cable modem? If so, that address in 192.168.100.0/24 is most likely the private local DHCP address the cable modem will hand out on its LAN side when it does not have a valid connection back to the cable company's CMTS. Once a session with the CMTS is established, your modem will give your LAN side equipment a valid routable IP address. Notice how the logs tell you it is essentially removing the old 192.168.100.10 address and then assigning a more normal routable address in that 71.83.214.0 subnet.

192.168.100.10
Look up who is the gateway of the WAN.
Visit it using your browser -> slap head and problem solved ;) -
