Hi i'm new to pfsense, need some suggestion or recommendation here.
I"m facing this problem now, where some particular student hogging whole bandwidth in
our campus which is a public area.

is there a way i can block this particular user, or limit his bandwidth
or any other great suggestion here.

      thank you

i've should have told u guys, i've on shaper before even posting here.
somehow, those students are able to bypass the shaper.

I think you need to find out what they're doing that allows them to do that.  Are you shaping by protocol, by IP, or have you just not got it configured correctly ;)

I'd raise this in the Traffic Shaping sub-forum.
