      Dear All, May i know where is the pfsense firewall rules stored? I'm not familiar with GUI firewall ruleing. I'm prefer edit the pf.rules but i could not find it. Please help. Thanks.

        pfsense is a gui based firewall, all settings are stored in xml file.. While you can edit this - would not be recommended.

        If you want to view the full set of rules, gui doesn't show everything

        But if you want a cli managed firewall - your prob better off looking for different solution.

          There's nothing to stop you from rolling your own with FreeBSD. I did that many years ago, with Slackware Linux. Linux based firewalls, while coming with a GUI, tend to support text configs.

          Of course, there's a company called Cisco that seems to know a thing or two about firewalls & routers. 😉
