Hi.

Does anyone using snort pay rules?

Just wondering if they have a better change to detect social media websites like facebook, twitter, whatsapp, etc etc?

I'm using the free rules openappID but don't see facebook or twitter been detected.

Any suggestion for rules for social media websites?

Running Pfsense 2.4.5_RC.

@periko So, are you saying with the Snort free subscription via the Oinkcode key (https://www.snort.org/) you do not have this...see below!

@NollipfSense yes I have it, but is not detecting facebook, twitter, hi5 in my laptop and desktop for example, instagram is detected.

I'm trying different settings but still cannot detect those websites.

@periko I have never used the social rules since it was meant for business environment. So, when you scroll the rule list, do you see any Facebook or Twitter rules that is default enabled similar to the Instagram one?
