Hyper-V and Dynamic Memory and Disks
-
Just a general question. On your VM, do you run dynamic disks and/or memory? Any issues? Also, do you normally have your VM set to "Save" or "Shut Down" on server reboots? Thanks for any replies.

or "Shut Down" on server reboots
A shut down is only going to work if the VM is running the Hyper-V guest tools, so it has a way to tell the VM OS to shut down.

@teamits Shutdown does work.
FreeBSD has built-in Microsoft Hyper-V integration services for a while now, really good support since FreeBSD 11.1 (which is the entire pfSense 2.4 branch).
pfSense does support shutdown from Hyper-V - I've tested it..
