Having an issue with OpenVPN not sending DNS server information to clients. Able to connect and everything works minus DNS resolution. It defaults to a 127.56.49.53 (loopback) address which is not configured anywhere. I am using Viscosity 1.8.5.1 as a client. The local DNS server is fully reachable to IP address. The clients are Windows 10. Tried various different setups with DNS, following guides from PFSense and Viscosity. Using the default DNS forwarder, DNS servers local and 8.8.8.8 configured under General, and tried specifiying DNS servers in OpenVPN. Regardless the only DNS server that gets assigned over VPN is a looback of 127.56.49.53.

I ended up resolving the issue. Only used the local Windows DNS server for the OpenVPN configuration. Viscosity setups up this loopback to internally handle the DNS itself.
