I have an ISP > Pfsense > WAP (dd-wrt) setup.

I want to apply an IP address whitelisting so that only my IP address can connect to this wireless network. Is it better that I add that as a rule in Pfsense or through the dd-wrt's Access Restriction feature or both?

      Thanks

Since both MAC addresses and IP addresses can be spoofed, it's MUCH better to set the wireless access point to use WPA2 (enterprise or personal) security settings with a VERY good wireless password.

Like make it hurt to have to enter that password on new devices... :)

I use 63 random character strings, from www.grc.com, for my passwords. The only exception is for my guest WiFi, which has a simple password. However, anything connected to the guest network is blocked from accessing anything else on my network, including pfSense.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
          UniFi AC-Lite access point

          I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...
