7100 config got corrupted and pfSense had to be reinstalled. Since then their OpenVPN server has failed to work.
I just created a new user and exported a Viscosity config. The log was:

      2020-11-29 12:11:37: Viscosity Mac 1.9 (1556)
2020-11-29 12:11:37: Viscosity OpenVPN Engine Started
      2020-11-29 12:11:37: Running on macOS 10.15.7
      2020-11-29 12:11:37: ---------
2020-11-29 12:11:37: State changed to Connecting
2020-11-29 12:11:37: Checking reachability status of connection...
2020-11-29 12:11:37: Connection is reachable. Starting connection attempt.
2020-11-29 12:11:37: Options error: The command "data-ciphers" or one of its parameters is invalid for this version of OpenVPN (2.4.9). Please edit the connection, make sure the command is valid, and try again.
      2020-11-29 12:11:37: Full command: data-ciphers AES-128-GCM
2020-11-29 12:11:37: The OpenVPN subsystem could not be started.
2020-11-29 12:11:37: State changed to Disconnected (OpenVPN System Failure)

Anyone know how to fix this? I've tried building new oVPN servers on the box to no avail.

      Thanks

This problem was discussed quite recently. You may find the solution here: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/158565/getting-error-on-data-ciphers-line-on-ovpn-client
