I've recently installed BandwidthD (0.7.4_4) on my pfSense box (2.4.5-RELEASE-p1), with the aim to review the traffic generated for each internal host, including details (IP address etc) of connections to the Internet. I previously had ntopng installed, and although it was working fine, it was a bit resource hungry so hence why I would like to give BandwidthD a go.

I think I have configured BandwidthD correctly, but unfortunately no data is being captured. My firewall has three physical ports; 1x WAN, 1x management LAN, 1x LAN with all VLANs configured on it. I've configured BandwidthD to use the LAN interface with the VLANs configured on it, and I've selected the relevant VLANs for statistics collection.

The system log lists the appropriate subnets for monitoring, along with "Opening igb2" and "Packet Encoding: Ethernet". Unfortunately there is no option to enable debug-level logging to see if any errors are thrown up. It makes no difference whether I have promiscuous mode on or off.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, thank you.
