Custom CP Login Page Help
-
I would like to upload custom Captive Portal login files. I found a template on Github (https://github.com/felixhaeberle/pfsense-captive-portal). Based on what I see in the CP configuration, I can upload specific files (portal.html, error.html, etc) but not directories.

Does pfSense include a method for uploading a custom directory of files?
-
Is this the type of custom login that has to be hosted on another local web server?
-
Can it be hosted somewhere on the pfSense box that will survive reboots and upgrades?
Thanks in advance!

Yes.

No. PfSense has an integrated web server.

The files are normally kept during upgrades. But if you are concerned about this you could keep a backup somewhere?
It is not possible to redirect users to another webserver, if that's the question
Also...by the way, pfSense took the template of
felixhaeberle (with his agreement) and included it as default captiveportal design. So you don't even need to use custom files! -
@free4 Thanks! That's helpful. But that leads to other questions. :)
If the pfSense default CP login is felixhaeberle design, I would still like to edit more than what is allowed in the pfSense GUI. For example, I would like to text similar to "User ID and Password are case sensitive". I also do not want any logo displayed and don't need the space reserved for the logo.
This is for a home guest network landing page. I need to keep it really simple. Thanks!
