VPN client over VLAN

Pretty new with pfsense and routing, I did manage to setup pfsense to work but this new task seems to be a bit too much for me and I'm looking for some help.
I'm trying to setup a VLAN (20) for a connection to a VPN provider but for some reason I don't seem to get this to work
The connection to the VPN seems to be up, the interface seems to be up, VLAN20 is up but the gateway shows pending.
Being new at this any pointers on how to troubleshoot will help, tanks.

Did you bounce the tunnel after assigning it to an interface?

@marvosa Thank you! It took me some time and a little nudge from a friend to translate your sentence but eventually I figured it out.
I now have the gateway online and the interface up and learned some things in the process.
