I have a pfSense router which I want to connect to an own plain OpenVPN server as client. The OpenVPN server should be reached with the default ip 10.8.0.1. But the pfSense always gets the wrong gateway ip address 10.8.0.5. Is there any possibility to change the gateway ip manually. Or what else can I do? I have access to both sides (server and client). Or do I have a wrong server side configuration?

Sounds like you are using the wrong kind of setup. The addresses you list are from a net30 topology style server setup with one server and many clients. If this is the only client, you don't need a setup like that, just a plain peer to peer setup without the extra server parts.
