pfBlockerNG-devel 3.0.0_10 won't uninstall

I have been waiting on WG M400 waiting for pfBlockberNG-devel 3.0.0_10 to uninstall for 10 minutes now, its still showing the "please wait while the update system initializes".
My WG M400 has a i5-4570 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD.
Any suggestions on how to remove this package safely without blowing up my firewall would be much appreciate.

@smoothrunnings Restart DNS Resolver from Services tab
Disable pfblockerng before removing may also help. -
Yeap I already had pfBlocker disabled, it was still causing the firewall to reboot. Stopped it last night around 10pm and the firewall hasn't rebooted since. Now am trying my hand at 2.1.4 unless 3.0 goes into a production release.
