Hello everyone, I updated a few days ago to 21.02 and I had no issues. When I updated Suricata to the newest update I noticed it just disappeared in my services. I uninstalled and re-installed, still gone. Then I restored a config from right before the first update of Suricata, which still gave me issues. So I restored from my config right after the 21.02 update and I saw Suricata in the services section but as it was installed, it disappeared again.

Not sure what to try here, hoping for some ideas. Thanks!

Snort and Suricata are both currently broken on SG-3100 appliances with the 21.02 or 21.02_1 updates. There is no ETA for when they will be fixed. The problem appears to actually be within PHP itself and not in the package code.

If you want to run either of those packages, you will first need to rollback to the 2.4.5_p1 version of pfSense, and then point your package repo to Previous Stable Version (2.4.5 deprecated) under SYSTEM > UPDATE on the Update Settings tab. You will need to first obtain a 2.4.5_p1 image for the SG-3100 from Netgate Support (unless you already have one).
