Captive Portal Self-Registration
-
Hi
Great looking login page would anyone be able to help with setting up a way too do Self registration as I am looking for away to have that done so far all I’ve seen are post from as far back as 12yrsThanks

There is nothing in pfSense that will do that.
You would probably want to develop something and use it as a pre-auth URL that did that for you and created the necessary database record for the registration credentials.

Nothing really changed for the last 12 years. This is still is a "do it yourself" job.
If you really want this login page that permits self-registration, you can. Things became even somewhat easier : the pre-auth exists now (see captive portal settings)Up to you to make that pre-login page - and host is somewhere.
Have it collect data, and store this data in the "database" being used to auth against the Captive portal.
This can be the pfSense local user manager - a LDAP, or a FreeRdius with database sub system. There is more work to do as just "sett the settings". Some PHP (or whatever language you like actually) is needed to handle the "collect and update database" feature.

If you want to 'change' your pfSense, that is, doing more as what can be done by the upload of a self made login page, goes far beyond the ordinary "what's in the manual".
Making use of open-source (source is readable and changeable) still means that you - you self - have to master what you read and modify.
Only some one who shares such project, and uses it actively the system himself, as big edits are needed when a new pfSense version comes out, might be of any help.As far as I know, such a project isn't actual today.
Your pfSense is your 'cockpit' : up to you to fly it. That's not being done by following some remote instructions.
And if you can't, don't.edit : and yes, I've sorted it out : pfSense as it is right now works fine for me.
If I need some other solution, I would have chosen that solution. -
@gertjan I would like to get id done. How long do you take to do it and how much you ask if it is possible....I have not coding skills but can do it with a remote help of expert. please you can give me a call in Skype (jmiguel901), or gmail.
Thanks in advance

I'm able to change the PHP part of the captive portal, to make little changes and, most often, test different possibilities.
Writing something up that I'm not going to use myself (means : less testing) is not a good plan.
Btw : I already have a full time job - and I do not have spare pfSense systems to 'play with'.
