      Hi All.

I am setting up a site to site OpenVPN tunnel.

Site A is the server which has a Dynamic IP.  This is assigned its FQDN by Dyn.com and set in the firewall to auto update.  The FQDN works for the Webmail with no issues, so I am convinced this part is set up correctly.

If the client (Site B) is set up to establish the tunnel via the FQDN on the VPN Port then it does not connect.

If the client (Site B) is set up to establish the tunnel via the IP Address on the VPN Port then it does connect.

Can anyone offer some advice or diags?

I will be able to respond in 8 hours as its bedtime now!!

      Cheers

      Mark.,

Verify the FQDN resolves to the IP you're expecting.  Also, check for typos.

          Hilarious!

Thanks Marvosa…I must have been very tired last night!

I must have tried three or four times so was convinced I had typed it correctly,
