Pfsense Version 2.5.1 & Port Forwarding Issue

Hi All,
I am hoping some of you can assist me with an issue i am having with port forwarding in V2.5.1.
In short i have been running the server for some years now with no issues. i have some port forwarding rules set up that all worked prior to the upgrade to 2.5.1.
After upgrading and using an external port scanner, the ports were all showing as closed.
I did a complete new install of 2.5.1 and restored from a backup, however the issue with port forwarding remained,
I then did fresh install of 2.4.5 and restored from the same back up and all the port forwarding rules are back working as expected
whilst on v2.5.1 and looking at diagnostics states for some of the ports i was seeing "closed syn_sent"
I also completely removed the port forwarding rules and re did them but still had the same issue whilst on 2.5.1
Is this an issue with my setup or something else?

@thewizarduk Its a known issue and they are working on it. 2.5.0 doesnt have the issues.

Do you have multiple WANs?

@steveits 1 WAN, but i do route out some hosts over VPN links
