My domain provider offers me dynamic rediction through DynDNS.org to configure it and they provide me with the following settings.

      • Server: https://dyndns.strato.com/nic/update
      • Host: The domain or subdomain that you want to redirect (for example: mypc.tudominiodestrato.eu)
      • User: A domain of your package (eg: yourdomaindestrato.eu)
      • Password: The DynDNS password that you have indicated in your Client Access

I am trying to configure pfsense as shown in the image, but I am not getting the expected result. check in red. (img3)

Nor do I know where to place the value Server?

Since this is stato.com, it cannot be done by the DynDNS presettings. You have to choose 'custom' from the droptown.

Ok now everything appears in green
The problem is that although everything seems correct green check my domain still does not point to my public ip 😖

Is the this "strato" DynDNS type of service really compatible with what DynDNS stand for ?
            Can we test it ?
Why don't you show the detailed logs that you can obtain by checking :

            d2ff0c9a-72f7-4e28-8b5f-911d5b5ff1ac-image.png

so you and all can see what is wrong so we all know what to do - or at least know if it's fixable ?

            And then this :
            www.stato.com is for sale .....
So buy it set up your own DynDNS service and you'll be fine ^^ ( joke - but why not ? )
I advise you to bail out, and use any other (hundreds) that offer a dyndns that just works'

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

The problem is that strarto doesn't allow other dns redirect services to be used, so I keep struggling with this.
In other domains I use others such as no-ip without major problem
As for providing the session data in public? I don't think it's a good idea ...
Contacting strato I am still waiting for a response from their technical support.

You mean you or your pfSense can not connect to (example) update.dyndns.org to send over user credentials (no need to send over the IP as they will use the IP you have right at that moment as the new WAN IP) to set the new WAN IP ???
Or no-ip for that matter - I use it as no one could block me for user their services - or any other service anywhere on planet earth.

Why do you think you have to use their (Strato) services ?

That is : showing public data on public networks (place) can be troublesome ?!?
Hummm. My IPv4 is "very known". It's part of the public network called Internet. I admit : I don't care if you know it. I had some time and over a few decades I became convinced the real danger is "else where".
Btw : in that case Twitter/Facebook/Istatruc couldn't exist if people had issues with sharing 'private/public' data on the net.

                Better :

                ?

You can still see that my pfSense reched out to he.net and opendns - these are all using dyndns comparable services.

Green IP means that the IP requested from the check service by pfSense matches to the set interface IP.
So what is wrong here? Provide more details, please.

And because this is a forum not only with questions but also : the answers : what was - short story - the solution ?

Regarding the pfsense configuration, everything was fine.
I received a call from strato technical support informing me that an intervention had been carried out on the service contracted with them and that they would test whether the problem had been resolved.

Thanks for your interesting help ...
