      Is there a step by step set of instructions available for setting up ntopng on pfSense (I have an SG-3100) and sending the data to an external database (either Elastic or mysql would be fine). I've looked around, and have not found anything as yet, and am just wanting to get this done easily. My own past attempts with limited instructions have resulted in my rendering ntopng entirely unusable.

      I'll accept it's a personal shortcoming that's led to the failure, and only want to get to the goal with near guaranteed success.

      Thanks in advance.

        @johnj It is pretty straight forward but I don't run it any more; however, this might help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWqdtVJSO_8 ... as well as, here: https://www.ntop.org/guides/ntopng/third_party_integrations/pfsense.html

          @johnj

          I also ran it on my SG3100, fairly easy to configure, but there were some modifications that had to be made to display the map's correctly. That info was on this forum.

          I have stopped running it mostly because my SG3100 cpu was getting a bit stressed running it, Suricata and PfblockerNG.

          When I get a better firewall I will probably install it again.
