I've found a couple of generic answers for the "Allow Compression" and "Compression" settings for OpenVPN, one of which is to set "Decompress incoming, do not compress outgoing (asymmetric)" and "Disable compression, retain compression packet framing".

What is the best settings to use to disable compression and still have the best performance possible? No compression, disable compression and omit, etc?

@sgnoc I use Refuse any non-stub compression (Most secure)

I haven't noticed any change in performance.

@kom What about the Compression setting? Any idea what the differences are with the 2 disable options and the No LZO Compression? Haven't been able to figure that one out, or if it even makes a difference if the Allow Compression is set to refuse.

@kom Never mind on my last post, I didn't realize that the Allow Compression settings disappear with the refuse setting you recommended is set. I'll give that a try. Thanks!
