      dear community,

i have installed on a dell server with 6 x 1,92TB SSDs in RAID10 with 128 GB RAM and 2 x Intel Xeon Gold and 10GB WAN Uplink VMware ESXi 7.0.
On this i have installed the latest pfsense Version.

If i boot the server without vmware, i got the fully 10GB into WAN (up and down). After i booting up vmware + starting pfSense and do direct a speedtest in the CLI, i only get always 1 GB up and down.

Iam using the vmxnet network card.

how i can figure out why i didnt have 10 GB? where i can find the link speed? on VMware all is bounded to the 10GB physical adapter.

      thank you so much

        the latest pfsense Version.

Its better if you actually clarify which version.. Is it 2.5, 2.5.1, 2.5.2 RC? Dev 2.6 snapshot?

Also for your esxi are you just 7.0 GA, or 1a, 1b, 1c or update 2, or 2a? etc..

There is a pfsense package named "Open Vm Tools". Is this installed on the Pfsense? Maybe it is missing the correct driver for the vmxnet -3 virtual Nic.
