I had OpenVPN up and running without issues on 1.2r. my client laptop is given its address via dhcp. 172.31.125.0/24
My client is given an address at 172.31.130.0/24

      Im testing the snapshots now.
While connecting my laptop gets handed 172.31.130.6 with a gateway of 172.31.130.5…  DNS is fine.

I can no longer go anywhere on the client like this so Ive set my gateway on the clients connection to the pfSense box statically so it would work...

Any ideas?  How do I get the pfSense box to hand out the correct gateway via DHCP to the VPN client?

You are not very clear about your situation.  Try following this: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=7840.msg44065

The only proviso is that if you are also using MultiWAN then change it to TCP and not UDP.  UDP wont work on OPT{n}.

          Thanks Jon:

I used that guide to get up and running with 1.2 release.  I copied from my(release) config file and pasted to the config file for the snapshot.  That may have not been a good idea so Im going to start over later when I get some time.

I can connect. I get an address. If I change the gateway on the client (static to the pfSense box) I can see the pfSense gui and other boxes on my LAN but nothing more. I need to spend some more time with it..

          :) ;)

Probably not a good idea!  I don't know what might have changed but you never know.  I's suggest that you create it from scratch on teh new GUI.  If you really wanted to you could compare the .xml files to see any changes …

            Cheers
