Redirecting Client DNS Requests does not seem to work

Hi! I just upgraded a test system from 2.4.5 p1 to 2.5.1 RC. Multiwan seem to work...so jeej! :)
But redirect client DNS request does not work anymore. Please see the Netgate doc page below.

On 2.4.5 p1 I had set DNS redirect according to that doc page and it was working fine. After upgrading to 2.5.2 RC DNS redirect to Pfsense seems to be broken.

I then upgraded from 2.5.2 RC to the latest version of 2.6.0 as of now and without changing anything in my rules for DNS redirect it is working again.
Can someone please test with 2.5.2 RC and then with 2.6.0?
I am running this build on my test system now and DNS redirect on working on this version of 2.6.0:
2.6.0-DEVELOPMENT (amd64)
built on Mon Jun 28 01:03:55 EDT 2021
FreeBSD 12.2-STABLE -
tested on 2.5.2 RC and works as expected...

Today I did a clean setup of 2.4.5 p1 and then upgraded to 2.5.2 RC. I can confirm that DNS redirect works indeed. It only seems to break when I upgrade my test system where a copy of my production environment is running...and that has a lot of specific config obviously.
I will wait for a 2.5.2 image then so I can do a clean install and restore my configuration. See how that goes. The upgrade is no succes for me I'm afraid.
