    LDAP Auth not working anymore

      Hello everyone!

      We are experiencing an error regarding the ldap authentication on our pfsense devices.

      We have been using this authentication for some time now, until it suddently stopped working. Since then, only the local admin login is working.

      I have made sure, that everything is set up correctly (e.g. SSL certificate configured in webgui), but as we changed nothing I can't see why this won't work anymore.

      If I switch the connection to unsecured, everything is working fine.
      As soon as SSL/TLS or STARTTLS are chosen two error messages are logged:

      /index.php: ERROR! could not connect to LDAP server IPA using STARTTLS.
      /index.php: ERROR! Could not bind to LDAP server IPA. Please check the bind credentials.

      All other services using these LDAP servers are working just fine, so error regarding these can be ruled out.

      We are running pfsense 2.5.1 on both of our devices.

      I would appreciate any advice as we can't get this fixed.

        Hello everyone,

        we have performed further tests, among other things we tested version 2.5.0, which shows the same problem.

        I would be glad about any input or ideas you may provide me with!
