Configure remote machine in LAN

We currently have our LAN configured as 10.1/16 in one of our data centers and I was hoping to be able to use wireguard on a remote machine and be able to assign an IP address in the 10.1/16 range to it using wireguard. Thes machines will be at peoples homes so could be using any public IP address, Is this possible and is there a guide on how to do it with 2.5.2 ?

@jeffsmith82 Not possible. WireGuard is a Layer 3 tunnel and it sounds like you're trying to tunnel Layer 2. Generally speaking, you shouldn't be tunneling layer 2 unless you've got a good reason, and a road-warrior setup isn't typically a good enough reason ;)

Hey, I've tried to find the videos you mention - setting up a road warrior style connection - but I cannot find them.
Any pointers please?

@theonemcdonald I too have been trying to get a road warrior WG setup on 2.5.2. and also would love a simple config guide or video on the road warrior setup.
So far I am hoping to be able to piece together what is needed to get a basic config up and working with from your mulvad video and also from the screenshots you posted in another thread.
