I am using pfblockerNG-devel 3.0.0_16 with pfSense 21.05 on an SG-3100 and seeing errors like the ones below in py_error.log. Any explanation?

2021-06-07 00:05:39,966|ERROR| [pfBlockerNG]: Failed to load python module 'maxminddb': No module named 'maxminddb'
2021-06-07 00:05:39,967|ERROR| [pfBlockerNG]: Failed to load python module 'sqlite3': No module named '_sqlite3'

            Hi,

After upgrading from 2.5.1 (pfS test box) to 2.5.2.r.20210617.1709, I get the same log entry... (plus yellow DNSBL icon)

            • Deleting the py_error.log in the Logs tab, then Force Reload / all
            • reboot pfSense box (more than once for the test)

I do not experience this entry,....hereinafter referred to as....

@daddygo Thank you. I did not reboot my box and so far it is green again. I hope it will stay that way. I rather not reboot since this box is running in production for the office.

                For sure 😉

This is some kind of telepathy, I just updated one of the our company pfS "box" and the yellow DNSBL icon came up, I just deleted the py_error.log and everything is ok....

                  Using SSH or SFTP ?
                  Possible.

                  This is also possible :

=> have a look at the log using the GUI, and if you see the two lines, then hit the trash can icon.
                  => Reload pfBlockerNG.

Edit : and where are the logs ??

                    Yupppp... 😉

Yes, this is also a possible way and easier to use... =GUI
Say, I when if it's about the log then SSH.... (in most cases)

I got used to it, because relatively large "log" sizes are set (on our "boxes") and the GUI is slow to load it

                      Ok, get it.
I would do the same thing, most time.
But sometimes I (re) discover that the GUI does have it's advantages.

I agree with this, pfS GUI is sophisticated, but there are some things it can't even do... 😉
