I got this message this morning, and no matter how I try to login via webgui, ssh, scp,  it seems I am booting into a read-mode only.

Choosing any of the menu will display this error (see attached)

What should I do to restore/rescue the system before going for a reinstall?

try remount the root partition as read-write
        mount -u /
        and role back…

I just read your reply. I end up installing a new one and restoring latest backup.

I'll take note of your suggestion, thanks!

          kind regards,
