I want to buy standalone WAP that supports mumimo, 802.11ac wave 2 that doesn't require controller/catalyst. Which one that meets my request?
I've made a post couple of days ago with my intention to build one but no answers received. I'm hoping someone could direct toward a good WAP that meets my requirements.
I'd appreciate any pointers.
Thanks,
Abdulla

Many WiFi APs are able to run as a single one, but in the enterprise or Pro segment it is more or less likes an assemble
that plays together then a solo run. Later this year Netgear is bringing out WLAN APs with Wave 2 mumimo techniques
and now together with a new switch.
Netgear M4200
Netgear WAC740 Wave 2 (Q4/2016)But if you need a really strong and good WLAN AP for many users and devices on a small field go and have a
look at Xirrus. That are really high end WiFi APs that will be running well, but not cheap!

Many thanks Frank. I will contact Xirrus for quotations right away :)

Netgear Nighthawk X8
Mu-MIMO AC WiFi Router can also run in AP mode, if it is not to consumer like. -
If you really want/need AC wave 2 then your best choice is a Ruckus ZoneFlex R710.
