Any one interested in taking this on as a bounty? If so, what is it worth to you?

Anyone else interested in helping to fund said bounty? I've got to assume there is a point where if we pool enough money together, someone will find it worth the time / effort.

I'd be willing to contribute $100 via PayPal. Anyone willing to do it for that and/or anyone else willing to chip in?

And, to clarify, when I say a "v2.3 package" I mean one that gets written well enough that it's fully integrated / supported as a package that is available via the normal GUI "check the check box" method (not one I have to manually install).

Just tried getting things to work this way.

Takes a little bit of time, but it was pretty easy and seems to work.

Skip to the Get LCD Proc working section.

i poked around into building a package.  its beyond my abilities.  :(

but someone a bit smarter than myself (or at least has some knowledge of php and freeBSD packages) should be able to get the existing files, edit them properly (all the proper 2.3 related stuff), and submit a pull request on github.

honestly, its not hard.  its just that i dont know what to do, or have the setup to properly test it.

+1 for this functionality. I am willing to pitch in an additional $50 for a 2.3v of LCDProc as outlined by jdijulio (if his offer of $100 still stands).

Totally. Just noted the new, combined bounty in the subject as well!
