Now there is a dedicated main menu item to "DNS Resolver Overrides" and this appears to be a duplication of the "Host Overrides" and "Domain Overrides" in the main "DNS Resolver" page.  Does this duplication have some additional capability?

Further more it creates inconsistency between the same feature in "DNS Forwarder" and creates yet another item in the main that is already pretty packed.

If this needs to be it's own page, couldn't it be a "DNS Resolver" and "DNS Forwarder" pages menu item?  Like the "DNS Resolver" "Access Lists" page is.

          It's in dev 2.3.2  (RELENG_2_3).
Don't think there has been a RELENG_2_3_1 build with it yet.  Think it was merged yesterday.

I don't think that was a good idea at all. I reverted it, as we don't need more menu clutter (for reasons that suit only that one person and no one else), and we don't want to add inconsistency between Resolver and Forwarder and even within Resolver itself.

              Right.  Thanks.

Maybe something like this would work:

Keep that page and make it a link in the DNS Resolver page menu, like the access lists is (do the same for DNS Forwarder), and remove the overrides section at bottom of the pages.  Then the few who need access to the overrides without also having access to the main DNS Forwarder/Resolver page can use a shortcut in their favorites or on desktop, etc.

This would provide the desired access control, retain consistency between resolver and forwarder,  without cluttering the main menu.
