I coded together this custom captive portal page and it accepts vouchers correctly and allows a user through the portal if a valid voucher is provided. However I have a problem.

When a user connect to the wifi a "websheet browser" opens automatically (this small browser window on the screenshots) opens and presents the portal page. That is fine. When a user inputs his voucher the next thing appears on the screen - see the other screenshot (blank success page). How can I make it so when a voucher is accepted that the websheet browser closes and a new browser window opens? I would also like the Homepage button to open a new browser window and possibly close this websheet browser.

I am using Mac OS 10.11.5
      Safari 9.1.1

You are aware that opening a new browser windows or other popup can be blocked by the settings of a browser ? This is a quiet know and often used by people that are fed up with all these popups everywhere.
Thus this will break your setup ….

Are you suggesting some other solution?

            No.

I just suggest that you shouldn't 'code' a solution that doesn't work an "any visitors device".
This means basically : keep it simple - and don't do what you self don't what to see elsewhere.
