Before I upgraded PFSence to 2.3 from 2.2.6 I uninstalled all packages, then upgraded, after reinstalling Squid and Squidguard neither would start, so I deleted the Squid Cache and rebuilt it, that started Squid, Squidguard would not work until I used Microsoft Internet Explorer to initiate the download of the blacklist. Once both seemed to be happy, then I tested the browsing on the LAN with transparent proxy turned on, all port 80 websites (I do NOT have SSL or man in the middle turned on) would not load. Per the statement in a previous thread that this issue is fixed, and to post the results of the states table on 127.0.0.1 Here is my states table when transparent is not working.

      LAN tcp 127.0.0.1:3128 (74.125.21.103:80) <- 192.168.20.239:52722 CLOSED:SYN_SENT 3 / 0 152 B / 0 B

Any help to get transparent mode working again would be helpful

Do you have captive portal turned on? Because sometimes that can cause squid to crash or not work properly.
