Shallalist Blacklist update hanging

I just updated my pfsense box from 2.2.5 to 2.3.1_5. Everything looks good except when I am trying to update the shallalist blacklist it hangs at 60% on DB rebuilding. I've rebooted several times and tried it again to no avail. I also tried restoring backup configurations and still had the same issue. Without the blacklist squidguard will not be activated.
Any ideas on a fix?

Reintall and save configuration squidguardian check it works, after install a blacklist

try a other broswer, load a blacklist

It's definitely not a browser issue. I've tried several. Something else in the configuration. I have removed squid and squidGuard both, removed the /usr/local/pkg/squid* files and re-installed squid and squidguard both again. Still when I try and update the blacklist it hangs on DB rebuilding…60%.

I got it working by running the update from the command line.
