I have set up a SSL/PKI OpenVPN, which I can see if established on the pfsense boxes, I can ping across subnets from the pfsense box itself, but none of the lan clients can communicate with the other subnet, I have done a blanked allow all rule on the OpenVPN tab on both the client and the server but I am getting no ping replies.

I see this in the OpenVPN log which is the subnet I'm trying to connect to:

Aug 22 13:30:02 openvpn[71076]: ERROR: FreeBSD route add command failed: external program exited with error status: 1
      Aug 22 13:30:02 openvpn[71076]: /sbin/route add -net 192.168.8.0 10.0.9.5 255.255.255.0
      Aug 22 13:30:02 openvpn[71076]: /sbin/route add -net 192.168.8.0 10.0.9.5 255.255.255.0

      Can anyone help?

your route command doesn't look right off the top of my head..

        route add -net 172.16.10.0/24 172.16.1.1

        Would be proper syntax
