Squid and 2 separated WANS
-
Hi,
i actually have a pfsense with 2 separated WANs , one for private usage other for public (wifi) and two LANs, so no loadbalancing/failover. And i installed and configure squid+squidguard. the traffic must be separated but i notice ( and it's logical ) that squid is using only one interface to analyse/cache the traffic . Finally my users from private and public network have the same public ip .and i guess the using the same connection ( am i wrong ? ) . Any advice or solution ?
Thank you

you cant load balance internal traffic from 127.0.0.0/8, best solution therefore is to use a parent proxy inside any of your lan and load balance that trafiic. REmember not to intercept that traffic from your parent proxy else you will be going to an infinite loop.
