      The ability for users to choose a dashboard layout per-user and various other per-user GUI options was released in 2.3.2.
      Since then there is this little fix:
      Be sure that user_settings for widgets is an array https://github.com/pfsense/pfsense/commit/62630ddcb836a69f0143a45e8e06a6adb62d053d
      that could go into RELENG_2_3_2

      The feature was completed after 2.3.2 by making widget settings also save correctly for the per-user case:

      For consistency of the user experience, it would be handy to have this last bit of the feature get into RELENG_2_3_2 for release.
