Free Hotspot- CP and Filtering Porn, gambling etc

Hi all,
I want to provide a hotspot for a small park. I would like to have a CP page so that the user can agree to terms. After that i would like it to block access to porn and gambling.
I have a setup of
PFsense 2.3.2I was able to get the Cp working, but i am unable to get the filtering to work with the CP. Has anyone successfully gotten this to work? If the filtering and Cp were on 2 different boxes, would that work?

What you need is squid/squidguard and/or dansguardian to act as a proxy. Firewall rules alone won't address this issue.

That is the problem, when i install squid/squidguard the Captive portal internet stops working. if i disable the Cp it works fine. When i enable the Cp and disable the squid/squidguard this stops working. I cant have both of them working at the same time.

I assume its not possible to have a web filer squid/squidguard and Captive Portal enabled on the same PFSense box. I guess i will use OpenDNS for the webfilter.

Both Cp and squid together works perfectly on pfsense . I used it , Additional Squidgaurd module need to be added
only https filtering is not working . If you Use Man in middle with squid proxy then you can filter https ( Which is in available with squid 3 , For that you have to purchase Certificate) .

Purchasing a certificate does nothing to help SSL MITM. You have to create a CA and install that CA as trusted on all client devices.
Not really any way to do that in a hotspot environment, nor should you want to have a CA installed on all your random clients.

First, you wanted to share some of your bandwidth with 'other people', and some how control the way how they access it.
That's where a captive portal comes in handy.Then , the "wanting" thing stops, because it's useless.
What if I used some one's captive portal - for example : yours.
Right after I connected, I could go to my favourite drugs, weapons, gambling, porn and other extremist site. I could even download the latest wiki-leaks.
I activated my VPN ..... you being able to see nothing. Never.
Trying to stop people from gambling has to be solved another way.
Your only choice will be : go back to the beginning, and stop sharing your bandwidth. -
