Minor GUI additions $40
-
1. When a wireless interface is in AP Client (bss) mode, add a GUI field that tells this interface to only associate to the AP with the mac address I specify (bssid address?), if set. See: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=1163.0
2. On the GUI for wireless interface, add a way to select which antenna(s) to use, allow all possible choices/combinations: (such as: Main, Aux, Both/All, etc?) for both Transmit and Receive.
If accepted and completed, please send me your Paypal address to receive the $40 bounty.

Working on it, i'll paste test code here as soon as it's done.
edit: the rx/txantenna and diversity control will only work for ath based cards. This is due to the way the sysctls are built. I might add others later, but i need other test cards.
I have a iwi card but that requires binary firmware loads so we do not support it.The code is pretty much done, i just haven't had time to test any of it. I'll test it tonigth and this should be debugged and ready this weekend.

" the rx/txantenna and diversity control will only work for ath based cards [for now] "
Since we only use Atheros mini-pci and pfSense in imbedded systems, this is sufficient for our needs.

This is NOT going in 1.0.

But a custom patchfile should be doable I think (like the patch that was published shortly after beta3) ?

If lsf wishes to do this, sure. I have enough crap to do.
