    Squid.conf, url_rewrite_children - "самопроизвольно" сбрасывается.

      Имеется 2.1.4-RELEASE (i386), пыхтящая на старом железе: Celeron 2.2 (478) + 2Gb.

      Трудилась она долго и исправно, до установки openVPN и увеличения общего кол-ва пользователей где-то до 80.

      Проблема в трех словах: при недоступности основного шлюза apinger начинает паниковать, а openVPN, в свою очередь инициирует рестарт всех пакетов (по несколько раз).
      Как результат машинку с pfsense начинает "колбасить" минут по 10-15 (загрузка процессора 100%).

      В конце концов все сервисы вроде-бы как стартуют нормально, но сквид находится в полумертвом состоянии. При попытке открыть страничку получаем следующее сообщение:

      ОШИБКА

Запрошенный URL не может быть доставлен.

      И что самое важное, значение url_rewrite_children в squid.conf всегда равно 5. Хотя до рестарта было указано совсем другое значение.

      Чтобы "оживить" сквид, увеличиваю значение url_rewrite_children и делаю рестрат сквида. После того все отлично крутится-вертится до следующего падения шлюза.

      Значение url_rewrite_children менять пробовал и через веб морду и через putty в редакторе ee.
      Значение сохраняется. Все вроде бы нормально, перегружал машину - значение url_rewrite_children такое как нужно, но стоит openVPNу начать перезапуск всех пакетов, это значение всегда становится равно 5.

      Для начала хочу спросить / разобраться / понять откуда и почему сквид вытягивает значение равное 5 ???
      А потом уже по возможности постараться минимизировать последствия возникающие при недоступности основного шлюза.

      Что делал:
      Увеличил немного время для apinger`a - слегка полегчало.
      Пробовал играться галкой в State Killing on Gateway Failure - изменений не заметил.

      В прошу простить - много буков, и сумбура….

        А если мониторить не осн. шлюз, а 8.8.8.8 , напр. ?
        Как вариант - обновить пф. Cохр. конфиг и найдите iso с вашей старой версией на всякий случай (http://mirror.transip.net/pfsense/downloads/)

        P.s. Если же переносить немного - поставьте начистую последн. версию. Тот же virtbox можно пользовать - настройте новую вер. на нем, сохраните конфиг, установите новую вер. на реальное железо, подгр. конфиг и переназначьте интерфейсы.

          Т.е. в качестве альтернативного IP для мониторинга брать гугловский ДНС?
          Если Вы это имели ввиду - то думаю результат будет тот же, поскольку канал реально пропадает от нескольких секунд до нескольких минут (условия такие. "последняя миля" в виде 60-80км "воздушки" с 3-4 промежуточными точками).

          После обновления скорее всего будут проблемы с HAVP+squid. А переносить - довольно таки много.

          Чтобы обойти проблему - самое простое, на мой взгляд, это загнать pFsense в виртуалку (есть ESXi в работе) и на нее перенести только openVPN сервера. А с реального железа удалить.

          Но думал что получиться решить проблему.
          Просто откуда сквид "самопроизвольно" берет значение этой опции? (url_rewrite_children)

            Крайне не рекомендую исп. это связку. Куча проблем - и нуль толку. Вы теперь попробуйте избавиться от этого "антивируса".
            Ибо в старых вер. пф оно таааак плотно связано, что прото ужас. Даже удаление и переустановка сквида не помогает иногда. Только глубокая чистка.
