I am planning build a pfsense machine. But I cannot replace my current router at the moment. So I would like to connect the pfsense machine as a client with my current router via Wifi. Then the psfense machine should share the Internet that it can access now, to allow all clients connected to the pfsense machine to use the Internet as if the pfsense machine was directly connected to the Internet.

Is that possible? If so how would I do that and what do I need hardware-wise? Do I need a special Wifi card? If so can you recommend a cheap one?

Have a look at the FreeBSD supported WiFi adaptors, support for 802.11ac doesn't exist :-

You'd be better using an ethernet cable for the moment IMO or buy a wifi to ethernet bridge.

You'll also need to add static routes for the subnets on your pfsense router onto your current router.
