      A regex search on the ARP screen or similar would be handy and I could imagine would not be a monolithic task in terms of effort.

      Just an idea, I realise I'm the beggar here.

        Agreed, I always thought that there were several places where regex would be useful…many ACL fields come to mind.

          Put a new "feature" type issue into https://redmine.pfsense.org/projects/pfsense/issues with details of the exact places you would like to see enhanced searches.

          And while you are at it, do a regex search on the title of this topic, looking for mis-matched brackets :)
