Best tool to collect network traffic data?

Hi, everyone

I'd like to know the best tool to monitor network traffic, collect it and export it to a file so I can see the data exported in the future.

I've tested some tools like bandwithd, darkstat and ntopng. Ntopng is a great tool, but I think it's not possible to export the data collected to a file. I tried to use the option "Export JSON Data" but it just opens all the data inside the browser, not allowing me to save to my computer.
