Curious on pfsense/netgate handling of the atom issue.
-
All intel atom C2xxx CPU's are defective and will die way way before they are supposed to due to a clock issue, they will burn out in 18 months of average commercial use. This is a huge issue not only for pfsense but Cisco/dell tons of people use these in network appliances, this will cost intel millions if not hundreds of millions.

I noticed that there is still pfsense products listed for sale with these defective CPU's in them.
How is pfsense/netgate responding to this issue?
Will they not be shipping products untill they are fixed by intel? or will they still ship but then replace with fixed product when available? Or worse case are they just going to wait for them to start dropping like flies and then let people RMA them(this would be horrible, since issue is known now this would be very bad customer service)
